UnKlaimed, LLC is registered with the California State Controller's Office as an unclaimed property investigator, under its Standard Investigator Agreement.
Being straight with you about the limits of that: California doesn't issue investigators a public licence number and publishes no searchable registry, so there's no ID we can print for you to look up — and anyone who quotes you one is quoting a number that doesn't exist. What you can check, without involving us at all: the property itself at claimit.ca.gov, and the State's own consumer page about investigators, which confirms the 10% cap and the free route we tell you about.

Those letters are often vague, high-pressure, and charge steep fees. Almost always, but not quite. Several states set a waiting period before a paid recovery service is allowed to contract with you on a given property. California's is 24 months from the date the property reached the State Controller (Code of Civil Procedure §1582), and an agreement signed inside that window is void.
